On behalf of the trustees, staff and families at Ronald McDonald House South Island, our sincere thanks for providing a gorgeous meal for eight guests for our Supper Club @ Home Event 2012.
After talking with the guests, I have to say that the feedback has been truly fantastic, with many guests completely blown away with their meals and the experience provided within Lynn and John Abbott’s Home.
We were really thrilled with the evening also – it was a great success with over $57,000 raised for the House. 100% of these funds go directly towards continuing to operate the House and providing accommodation for families who need to travel to Christchurch so their child can receive hospital care.
The Trust also prides itself with consistently maintaining an average expenditure: income ratio for fundraising at only 15 cents in the dollar. This is half the national expectation.
A sincere thank you all once again for your tremendous support in hosting this fundraising event Simon – we could not have done it without you. I trust that you too enjoyed being part of the signature event for this charity and I hope that you can be involved again next year.
