French Farm Winery & Restaurant

French Farm is situated on the scenic Banks Peninsula just one hour's drive from Christchurch, New Zealand. French Farm has always been one of Canterbury’s favourite destinations, Initially opened as a winery and restaurant, many of us can recall the long summer afternoons sitting in the shade of the magnificent native trees, enjoying a piping hot pizza straight from the wood fired oven. With new owners in 2010 French Farm Winery continues its focus on hospitality and service. The main difference now is the venue is only available for exclusive bookings. This has opened up some fantastic opportunities for both weddings and corporate style events, with full access to the entire grounds clients are able to pop up a marquee, park their helicopters and still have enough space for a private ceremony in the courtyard.

With a stunning Kahikitea tree believed to be over 600 years old, standing guard at the side of the main restaurant. The building it self provides a fantastic backdrop for creative photographers with two meandering streams, a spectacular view of the harbour and hills and an abundance of native trees and birds there are photo opportunities everywhere.

For those of us who don’t live in French Farm (most of us I guess!) Transport can be arranged from Christchurch or Akaroa for you and your guests, weather by bus, a fleet of limousines or helicopter. And for those driving there is plenty of onsite parking.

Being a fully licensed winery French Farm has a great range of locally grown wines to select from, and your caterer (Kiwi Cuisine) will be able to look after all your other beverage requirements.
